Course Overview

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students will:

  • Understand the principles behind (generative) AI models
  • Explore existing AI tools across text, image, video, and audio
  • Critically analyze the role of AI in media production
  • Gain hands-on experience with real-world AI applications
  • Conduct small experiments using AI tools and present results

The course combines lectures, discussions, demos, and practical sessions to provide a comprehensive understanding of AI in media contexts. We will read articles, scientific papers, and watch videos to explore and discuss the current state of AI technologies. Students will also present on specific AI tools and conduct a small project using one or more AI applications.
